It's 200 Degrees' very first Geisha coffee - a rare, high-quality varietal prized for its floral delicate taste. Our coffee has been grown in Peru, in the North-West region of Cajamarca by farmer Vanessa Neyra.

Celebrating International Women's Day on March 8th with a limited-edition female-farmed single origin.

It's 200 Degrees' very first Geisha coffee - a rare, high-quality varietal prized for its floral delicate taste. Our coffee has been grown in Peru, in the North-West region of Cajamarca by farmer Vanesa Neyra. The farm, called Buena Vista, sits on the edge of an area of protected natural beauty, looking out to the hilltop called El Tigre. After the coffee cherries are picked and washed, they are dried for 15-25 days on raised solar beds, allowing each cherry to preserve it sweet and complex notes. This unique coffee is a real stunner, with nectarine, honey and floral taste notes.

Sustainability

Supported by our importers Volcafe, the Buena Vista farm run by Vanesa Neyra has developed agroforestry practises to future proof the coffee production there. This includes reforestation with native timber specifiers, and a secondary forest where beekeeping is carried out.

Peru

Peru's main coffee regions stretch along the easter slopes of the Andes, and the industry is responsible for one third of all agricultural jobs in the country.

Espresso

Recipe: 
•17g coffee (fine grind)
•Espresso yield: 36-40g
•Extraction time: 30-35 seconds
•Coffee to water ratio 1:2

French Press / Cafetiere

Recipe:
•17g coffee (coarse grind)
•300g water
•Total brew time 4 minutes
•Coffee to water ratio: 1:17

Method:
1.Pre heat/rinse French press with hot water then discard water
2.Place French press on the scales and tare
3.Add 17g coffee to the French press and tare scales again
4.Start timer and pour 50g water onto the coffee grounds
5.At 30 seconds pour in another 250g water and stir three times
6. Add plunger to top of the French press and brew up to 4 minutes on the timer
7.At 4 minutes, gently plunge the French press
8.Serve into pre heated cups and enjoy

V60

Recipe: 
•16g coffee (medium grind) 
•250g water 
•Total brew time: between 3 minutes and 3 minutes 30 seconds 
•Coffee to water ratio 1:15/5 

Method: 
1.Fold filter along the crease and place in the v60 
2.Saturate the filter paper with hot water to ensure there’s no papery taste from the filter 
3.Place v60 on top of your chosen vessel, then onto the scales and tare 
4.Add 15g coffee to the v60 and tare scales again 
5.Start timer and add 50g water going in smooth, circular motions working from the centre outwards (avoid pouring your water onto the filter paper at this point) 
6.At 30 seconds add another 50g water 
7.Continue to add 50g water every 30 seconds until you reach 250g 
8.Gently swirl the v60 then let stand until all the water has passed through. This should be achieved somewhere between 3 minutes and 3 minutes 30 seconds. 

Tips:
 •If the water passes through before 3 minutes is up, then you will need a finer grind size 
•If the water takes longer than 3 minutes 30 seconds to pass through, then you will need a coarser grind size

CARRIERS:

We use Royal Mail and Parcel Force as our chosen distribution partners. You have the choice at checkout to select your preferred carrier with the following restrictions: Royal Mail First Class and Second Class (untracked) are available on packages up to 2kg and the cost is variable depending on the weight. Deliveries are made 6 days a week. Parcel Force Express 24 (tracked) service is available for all packages up to 20kg. Deliveries are made Monday to Friday only, excluding Bank Holidays.

PROCESSING TIMES:

Royal Mail orders received before 9am (Monday to Friday) will be processed and dispatched on the same day. Parcel Force orders received before 12pm (Monday to Friday) will be processed and dispatched on the same day.

After these cut-off times we will still aim to dispatch on the same day if possible, but this is not guaranteed. We do not dispatch orders over the weekend or on Bank Holidays. *Due to Royal Mail and Parcelforce strikes there may be delays in recieving orders placed on the 26th and 31st of August*

INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY:

Unfortunately, we are only able to deliver to mainland UK. We are unable to deliver to Ireland.
